Who we are...
We are a small, family run business, which means we care a lot about our wee store and our customers. We like to think we have built a community over the twenty or so years we have been in business and look at the shop like a friendship; ever-evolving, special and always there when we need it to be. We would love our customers to see it that way too...
We have Maggie, owner and director and the creative genius behind the shop. Maggie started her career in fashion in corporate companies and worked her way up from being a visual merchandiser to writing training programmes and opening stores up and down the country. When she decided to have a family, she moved from Edinburgh to the capital of the Highlands and started working for a small boutique in Beauly called Lynda Usher... she then bought over the business when Lynda retired and thus Maggie Blyth (the shop) was born! Since then, Maggie has generated a loyal customer base which has followed her to two different locations in Inverness. Maggie has consistently curated unique collections from niche designers that you wont find anywhere else locally! With an eye for colour, texture and style, Maggie has never followed the fashion trends and this has meant that her customers have outfits and pieces that they will treasure for years to come!
Then we have Megan (daughter of Maggie) the beauty, the brains, the talent... and the one currently writing this... Megan was roped into being a Saturday girl when she was just a teen and immediately fell in love with the clothes and the atmosphere of the store. Since then she has had some good jobs (and some not-so-good jobs) but has always kept coming back to work at the boutique. Finally caving after all the begging from Maggie, she became co-director and took more of a front seat role in the store. Since having a baby, Megan is not physically in the shop as much but don't worry, she is working hard behind the scenes on the online store and you will still see her on a regular basis in the shop to give Maggie a well-earned day off!
